Heathcote Weekend Accommodation - names required

Hi guys and gals

This is just to let you all know about the accommodation aspects of the Heathcote weekend on 19th, 20th and 21st of November, as seen in the thread above about the drags.

The plan is so far for accommodation is:

Friday 19th Nov: Arrive in Geelong at about 7pm and meet Cobra and any other Vic FF members there. We will be staying at Portarlington Seaside Resort in the town of Portarlington which is about 30km from Geelong.

The caravan park is on the beach, we will be booking the campsite there so you will need a tent or something. There is loads of room and cars can park next to the tents or close by them. It's is a big open area where lots of fun can be had.

The costs for this night are: $27 per night per tent which can include 2 people. For an extra person per tent, it is an extra $8 per person. A deposit will be required, however I will pay that myself in full to avoid hassles, at the time of booking and collect it off you guys at a later stage, whenever, I'm not bothered.

This is NOT YET BOOKED, and we have about a month before we must make the booking to secure it, so we are going to need all of your names for this night if you want to come. We will book it on the 17th of October, so we ask that you please let us know by then. This includes all Vic and interstate FF members interested.

Checkout time is 10am but I am going to see if we can get that extended if they don't have bookings the following day. If not, then we can find something else to do before moving on to meet at Ford HQ at around 1pm (I'm guessing here).

Saturday 20th Nov: We leave Partarlington and make our way to Ford HQ at the designated time, and then on to Heathcote for the evenings racing.

As of yet Bendigo accommodation has not been 100% settled on yet, but we are looking into making bookings at one or more of the Budget Motels in Bendigo. They are not overly pricey, there is more than one motel if we have the numbers and there are a couple close to the city centre so we can drink and walk back if required - he he. I am hoping to get as many names as possible for this one so we can perhaps get discount on the rooms for that night. I am emailing them this evening for information and will post prices and more details up as soon as I know.

Regarding the deposit, same arrangement as above for Portarlington. We are going to need names on a list ASAP for this one too so we can make the booking. Same date as above as deadline.

Sunday 21st Nov: We all drive home at some stage!

So could you all please add your names to the list and clearly indicate what accommodation you require, and sooner rather than later would be a big help. But no later than 17th October please.

We're hoping heaps of you can come along from interstate and from Vic coz it should be a great weekend! Any suggestions welcome.

Regarding the accommodation side of things, please feel free to PM me about it or add me to your MSN. I'm online most nights. Cobra will be away from tomorrow 21st September to the 16th of October so he will be a bit harder to contact but he will get PMs on his return if required.

Thanks guys and gals!

(Jeff, could you make this sticky please???)

Re: Heathcote Weekend Accommodation - names required

I strongly urge anyone coming to the Heathcote day to stay the night in Bendigo on the saturday night. We have a few interstate members making a big effort to come to our event, so lets give them a big Victorian Fordforums welcome!

As XRchic stated earlier, all PM's should be directed to her as I will be overseas as from the 21st and mostly likely won't be able to reply till I get back. I arrive back on the 16th of October and plan to book the firday night accommodation.
