hello from london

hey guys,
Arrived in london on the 26th at 3pm local time. First impressions were pretty much "what have i done!". Already theres some major pluses over melbourne. Like the public transport is fantastic. But the best bit is the quality of cars. Have to say Focus RS's look HORN in the flesh and the mondeos look great aswell. I tell you what though, gotta stay clear of those damn black cabs its like dodgem cars out there!

i miss my ED and the wide auusie streets already!

Yeah it is a whole different world there isn't it!!! I was there last year and found the place unmistakably 'British'......

Had the pleasure of going on a Cosworth Cruise in a '94 model Escort RS Cosworth!

You will miss the good weather and hate the ridiculously over-inflated prices as well!!!!

Apart from that, it's pretty good!

You there for long?

Have a good time. It's coming on to summer over there. (I think summer happens for a couple of days in June). I went over for a holiday in 1970 and stayed 4 years. Mind you, this was before they floated the aussie $, and our currencies were about equal.

Don't forget the Earls Court Motor Show for some horn machinery.

have a great time. how long are you there for? it is a brilliant place and access to the rest of europe is so easy. however, london is pricey and bloody dirty.

enjoy

im here for 12 months all up including spending time in europe. The pound to Euro isnt as much as an insult as the aud to pound, infact its good. Its a matter of survival here. A cheap day so far is costing me about $40-$50 australian.
Today i bought a mach3 razor and shave cream, how much do you think? $27 australian!
