My brother is currently looking for a first car and is looking for a VN-VP Commodore. Are their any problems with that model because im trying to talk him into a EB Falcon and i dont want him to get a Holden

Any problems?.. what apart from being boring, common, slow, noisy, leaky, rattly and extremely easy to steal... umm not that i know of.
Point him in the direction of an EB2/ED.... if he drove both i bet i know which one he'll buy.

Don't let him buy a VN they are absolutely crap, problems with VN's too many to mention, if he wants a Holden go VP onwards.
EB's are good cars, far superior to the EA although I would look for a EB2.

Best way is to get him to test drive both EB Falcon and VP Commo. When you do get him to test drive EB make sure it's the Multipoint engine.

I dunno about others but i can't stand the driveline shudder and vibrations of the VN-VP commos.

VN is the equivalent of a 3 speed EA only shoddier. i don't know how could anyone live with the shudder those two piece tailshafts produce. it just horrible!

good job there Barra! one more ford driver is a good thing!
