Help required from Computer/Net Buffs - Re. Netscape

At my new work abode I now have a new PC which uses Netsscape Communicator 4.79. However, I have severe difficulties reading this web page and others due to most of the fonts being distorted. My co-worker has no such problem. So, I guess I need to load some fonts or whatever, but can't find where etc. Tried reloading Communicator to no avail.

Anyone know how to fix this? Please?

Do you need to use Nutscrape? It was good once, but it (and Mozilla) have been left behind.

Use IE 5/6 if you can, otherwise, trying looking in Nutscrape's options, the previous person may have set alternative default fonts and font sizes which can over-ride HTML-set fonts. Don't ask me where in options, been ages since I've used Nutscrape.

Re. Netscape

Pete,

Have you head of a browser called Opera?

you can find it at www.opera.com

This browser is an excellent alternative to IE, i find that it really does live up to its catchline "Fastest browser in the world".

The thing is its so damned hard to find a decent NON IE browser simply because of the lack of development/inability of companies to develop their browsers. Recently i tried nutscrape 6.0 and found it simply inadequate compared to IE6/5.

Opera is bloody excellent. try it. Im never going back to Internet Explorer.

Cheers

Will

I have to use Netscape because it is the proprietary package.
