The GTO's pace comes essentially from the same General Motors' 5.7 litre alloy V8 engine that powers the rest of the HSV range, this time in 255kW trim with 475Nm of torque. The 4-speed auto GTO we tested will sprint to 100km/h from rest in around 7.5 seconds. Not exactly blistering, but if you want quicker, try the optional 6-speed manual, which knock over 0-100km/h in 6.6 seconds.

I've not been following this very closely, but I don't think I've seen a monaro break into the six second bracket yet in a roadtest. What gives?

Don't forget it's an AUTO. 1 second is acceptable delay in auto comparing to manual. 6.6 sec seems to be just fair.

T3 got 500NM/4250 and 250KW ,powerful engine more or less gives the similar power and torque like say the M5(290KW 500NM) and AMG55(265KW and 530NM). Not bad huh??

The GTO torque is ONLY 475NM, It simply can't push the beast that hard, unless MOTOR test them downhill!!!
