Good news for ford. Holden are now using some of the most useless people in history to design cars. Heres a joke a statistician, a economist and a psychologist meet in the street and announce they will build a car.. Harsh hmmm... But really what the hell are these people going to contribute..

The article is amazing and must have been base of some properganda material Holden sent out.. someones been using a thesaurus.. its filled it excessive jargon relating to what they are doing..

Not only that Holden seem to be so full of cash the are prepared to blow massive dollars on statisticians, economists and psychologists.. and will only get any return or proof of idea in 15-20 years time..

No doubt there is a need for more forward thinking and strategy, instead of just evolving a product each cycle. But I think this seems like a big waste of time. Not only that but its claimed as pioneering research by what kind of research??

Internet research? What did they search it with? Google? I know as a professional scientist, I couldn't use "internet research" as proof my work is unique..

Infact Im sure its not unique.. Im pretty sure the Bureau of statstistics do this kind of thing day in day out for the government and the public as well as provide information for the private sector..

Hmmm that seems very strange to me. In our course as long as we can quote who is the Author, date and when the site was online we can use Internet search as our sources. Though I always use books as well to make my research look like it has been well argued and backed up. But i'm in a Computing Hippie Degree so it could be different.

Laminge, I think you will find quotes from Hustler and Penthouse are ok, its just the diagrams some have issues with!

Really, there may be some merit to using a reliable reputatable web site as a refrence, esp for very new material..

But if you were going to throw what, 20, 25 million at a project, I would expect more than a "internet research" at a attempt at finding simular or previous work done in the same field.

I think they should rename the department too "bad mistakes holden will make in the future based from bad mistakes made in the present"
