QUIT IT!

It has been done to bloody death, and we have certain members posting the same dopey insults over and over again, and it's boring. If you have some sort of Holden hatred fine, don't keep ruining threads with idiotic posts sprouting the same old crap. The thread on Holden claiming they can't get much more power out of the LS1 was fine until a few turned it into another Holden bashing exercise.

There are members of this forum, myself included, who post of the Ls1/Holden forums, and we have some of their members posting here. In fact, there's been some cruises organised as well. The 'darkside' guys have also been invited to two events at our annual Raid in Melbourne this year. Those sites may have the odd member who bag Fords, but in the main they are a lot more tolerant of us then some our members are of them.

I'd like to see moderators take a tougher stance on posts with pointless Holden bashing, and the members posting them.

This is a Ford forum, first and foremost. If we have a thread on things Holden related, be it VY, or soemthing, or a thread contains info on a Ford/Holden crossover, keep it sensible and intelligent! Keep the Holden bashing to www.noonecares.com.

I agree. We all have something in common=our love for Fords.

Holden owners feel the same about their cars. Good on them.
Nothing wrong with rivalry, but to constantly bag them lowers your standard and ours (Fordforums).

I get into discussions at work about Ford vs Holden and love it. All the time we smile whilst doing it.
All this is done face to face and not behind a keyboard.

I have owned Holdens in the past as i believe to try things before deciding what i believe is best.

It's Ford for me and am not afraid to admit to having owned a EK sedan, 2-door HK Monaro (Chev powered) and a EH st/wagon.

I am also a member at LS1.com and use the same name as i do here.

My 2 bob's worth.

I think it is great to have a passion about a vehicle, but I believe that shallow insult and intolerance only highlights a person's insecurity.

Holden make a great product, but it isnt for everyone, and exactly the same can be said for the ford camp.

We live in such a multicultural society, we accept people for who they are, and embrace our differences.... now why can't it be the same for the vehicles we drive!!

Here, here Mark. I agree 100% mate. Most of the Holden guys are good blokes and should be welcomed here with open arms. We are all passionate about our cars and this is what should bring us together. Friendly rivalry is good but slanging matches aren't.

There are a lot of us Ford dudes who have a high respect for the oppositions marques, and I'm sure a lot of them respect Fordsas well. This is why we get together on cruises so we can chew the fat, enjoy each others company and engage in some of that friendly rivalry.

Like I said in that other thread: Hobbes and others, please keep posting here. We like your contributions.

Nah, I totaly agree with what Venom XR said 100%. I hate Holden as much as the next guy but I still admire some of their cars, lets face it - some of them are a lot better than ours at the moment but then again that'll all change this September.

I agree with what Venom XR said (apart from the Torana bit). I get sick of reading posts that have references to Holdens being POS.
Friendly Banter is fine but pure bashing is annoying and boring.
