Holden to sell in the UK!!

Its no secret that Holden has been gunning for europe. Head of Vauxhall is former expat, Hamminburglar is former opel. Vauxhall has a massive image problem in the UK. HSV's are already shipped to sold out waiting lists there.. and brand reconigition is growing with favourable reviews from Evo, Autoexpress and numerous other euro publications.

Monaro looks like the first one to be sold through Vauxhall dealers. With S and SS, possible calais and HSV models joinging them.

Will it work??
Is ford persuing export markets for the Falcon? Would that work?

After much discussions in euro forums I have been confirmed that unless for and Holden/Ford can deliver a car for between 10-20,000 pounds of reasonable specification all is lost. If you want to sell more than maybe a hundread.

Way to brand focused. Everyone I got a reply from said they would never buy one if they were with in coowee of a decent euro make car. Perceptions that Aussie sedans are way way too big, way to barge like, built out of canvas and woven wattle twigs. People would much rather a much slower, much smaller, less reliable, but of a brand of great credability. Infact the more power they had the less they seem to like them.

As for the Vertes, can't be very good now can it. Otherwise we would have heard about them.

I can see Geoffs point of view on exports. Unless you can find the perfect market, its useless.
