Hey guys,

I thought I'd throw this one out there & see what you guys think :)

Is anyone else really sick of the whole "Holden vs Ford" debate? Whilst I agree its great to be passionate about our brands, I've come across some attitudes from both "sides" recently that made me wonder why some of us waste a lot of energy seemingly bashing our heads against a wall.

The Holden boys have had the bragging rights in motorsport for the last 5 years (if you can call V8 Supercars a sport) which has certainly given them ammunition against us, but so what? The same people who like Holdens because "they win Bathurst moit!" will be the very same to switch to Fords when its our time in the sun again. I know Skaife's car has nothing to do with a road going Commodore, but last time I checked you couldn't order a 5 litre pushrod V8 six speed Falcon either :)

I'm not trying to stir anyone up, just curious if anyone else is getting tired of arguing a pretty unwinable point. Maybe I'm just not as passionate as some others, but I'd rather see more HSVs cruising the Newcastle foreshore than those damn "sneezing" turbos with the coffee can exhaust. I think I'll start directing my energy towards converting them to V8s :)

Got to agree there. I'm not a big fan of Holden/HSV but they are way ahead of these ricermobiles(TM).

This debate will be around forever.

I like my aussie cars, my last car was a VC commodore and now i own a 1994ED Falcon. I would far rather see good ol' aussie grunt that zzzzzzzz ptssshhhhhhh zzzzzzzz ptssssshhhhhhh! every few seconds from turbo'd 4-banger ricemobiles!

I think that website is run by REALLY young holden fans. It's good for a laugh though and there are a couple of vocal Ford fans giving as get they get. I'm not going to bother posting though.
