HOW TO:break the 11 second mark

This is part II in the how to series of how to get more speed out of your ride.
Today we'll be discussing tire science and how it affects your overall performance on the strip.
Let's start off with a quote from the CEO of GOODBOOT Tire CO. in Blackstrip, Idunno, USA.
Quote:
todays tires are a highly sought after commodity and without them, your car might be riding on bare metal wheels. We here at Goodboot are committed to the perfection of the rubber band and want nothing less than the best for you and your ride. After all, we can't have you riding around on bare metal rims, can we? No, and that's a dilemma that we here at Goodboot Tire, Inc. are prepared to address. We believe that every car in the world should be fitted with rubber bands on the rims to enhance the traction co-efficient and overall safety issues envolving the rim to pavement factor, or "RPF".
Through thorough and exhuastive research and developement, we here at Goodboot Tire, Inc. have developed a rubber band for your rims that not only insulates your rim from the pavement, but actually enhances the overall ride experience by a process that is becoming more popular and is know as inflation. The folks here at Goodboot Tire, Inc. have thoroughly researched this science and we are committed to your satisfaction. Thus, I present you with the inflateable rubber band for your wheel. We have developed this technology with the use of a piece of rubber and an air compressor. Our tires not only insulate the rim from the pavement, but actually make you feel as though you are riding on a cushion of air. Our revolutionary new product has been given the rubber band of the year award and is currently being installed on some 6.75 billion cars and trucks world-wide.
With the concept of the inflateable rubber band, by Goodboot Inc., your car can now safely ride on a cushion of air and perform better than ever. Imagine what your friends will think when you pull up to that starting line with a set of inflateable rubber bands on your wheels! And to further their surprise, you take off without throwing a shower of sparks into the crowd!
On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the best, the Goodboot inflateable rubberbands rate a strong 9, according to the WWDRA.(World Wide Drag Racers Association)
The inflateable rubber bands are reported to reduce your strip time to under 11 seconds.
