eek How Cut would u feel, buying a Rallyart Fagna

Guys i was looking at wheels mag. and i thort to my self how cut would u feel if u spent all that money on a Rally art magna. when this new falcon puts out 182kw stock. and the Rallyart puts out 180kw done up. im sure they would be most offended being beaten by a stock XT Falcon.

I was thinking the exact thing last night. But I think the ralli art magna could still be quicker? depends on the weight issue being discussed in another thread.

But, I think you are talking about the price range right? 50 thousand or so for that, i'd rather buy an au3 xr8.

yeah dude, the price, 50k for the magna, 35 or so for a Falc, with almost the same power.

The ralliart magna is appealing to the likes of xr6/vxS supercharged. I'm sure Ralliart Magna owners would be pissed if they were done by a BA XT. I dare say if the weight of the car is as much as some have said in other threads, then I don't think Ralliart Magna owners won't have too much to worry about. Besides, what does the Ralliart Magna do quarters? I think the VRX which is about 17Kw shy of the Ralliart does quarters in the low to mid 15's. A Ralliart Magna would be doing mid to high 14's. Those engines can rev hard apparently. I can't see the XT treading into this territory. Notice no one has heard a whimper from Mitsubishi about their AWD Magna? What do they have planned?

all this use of "XT"... its really growing on me.. much better than Forte in my opinion..
As for the rallyart magna.. they'll appeal to some dicknose that will be blown away by the 200kw holden 6 s/c or the n/a falcon 6.

Power to weight = 8.29
0 - 100km/h: 6.8 sec
0 - 400m: 15.0 sec at 154km/h

Ford Falcon BA (est. from info in other threads)

182 kW / 1694kg
Power to weight = 9.31

Ford Falcon AU XR6 HP (Motor Sept '02)
164 kW / 1530kg = 9.33
0 - 100: 7.88 sec
0 - 400m: 15.33 sec

Forgive me if the facts are off or completely wrong, but you should get the picture. Power isn't everything :)

1995 EF Futura - Crow stage 2 cam & adjustable gear, K&N cold air intake, AU XR intake snorkel, Advance stainless steel extractors, hi-flow cat converter, 2.5" pipe, 17" ROH RT shadow chrome mags, Pedders sports ryder suspension, DBA gold cross drilled/slotted rotors, lowered 1.5", camber kit, engine + starter immobiliser and microwave sensor security system.

Ralliart Magna $50,000 for 180kw


BA XR6 Turbo LESS THAN $45,000 for 240kw

The Ralliart Magna, was, is and remains overpriced!!! But Mitsubishi have little choice given the high cost of the hand building of the cars. Labour costs can bump up prices incredibly!!

Regardless, in answer to the question.

If I'd bought a Ralliart Magna I would be really pissed off anyway, but with the Barra XR6 Turbo I would be completely devastated. Why would anyone buy one now??

Here's a thought........

$5000 price difference

Now convert to beer measure
Cost of a slab $25

Therefore price difference is 200 slabs

200 slabs equals 4800 beers....which means......

Everytime I crush a Ralliart Magna at the lights I can shout myself a beer........for the next 13.15 years!!!!
