I wish doing up the XP on tuesday and I was under the car trying to take off the rear bumber when - right next to my hand - was this wasp nest with wasps all over it. I jumped out of there lucky to have not been stung several times.

What I need to know from one of the clever buggers on here is - HOW DO I GET RID OF THE LITTLE PR*CKS? I'm not really a poison man - because they aren't European wasps I don't really want to kill them. Are there any natural remidies to get them out of my car!?!

As for not killing them.. sorry can't help. Maybe ring a pest control place and ask for their advice.

Heck what kind of fumes/gases/smells comes from burning rubber ??
Heres what you do, like at the drags put your helmut and gloves on, get the Mortein or similar toxen, be ready , get the g/f wife to do a countdown.......green light SPRAY THE BEJESUS OUT OF THEM, run mate run run run............
Be the quickest 1/4 you have run in a long time....
Once you have recovered your breath go back for a inspection on the bomb site.......enemy destroyed !!!!!!! he he he

ahh ive just delt with some heres what we did.
a mate and i got two cans of carb cleaner and got real close to the nest and sprayed them. they will come straight out at you but the microsecond that the carb cleaner hits them they drop dead.
dont back off or they will get out and come after you just hold your ground and keep spraying.

dont use fly spray it dosent drop them quick enough.

DISCLAMER: this worked well for us but if in doubt dont attempt urself.

Mortein sells a product called 'Outdoor Wasp Spray' in a big black aerosol can. Trust me, no wasp is gonna get at you because these cans are the M60 of the insecticide world! Good stuff.

All depends if you use a cigarette lighter or not.

The Zen way is to knock the nest down at night with a stick, turn the torch off and your'e safe, but still run away just in case.
No bad karma from wanton death and destruction. (Wasps also eat all those nasty spiders)

I had a sh*t load of these nasty little buggers here when I first moved in ..........

All I did was destory the nests with a broom.........& ran like hell......it worked for me & it wasnt the fact I didnt want to use incectisides it was that I didnt have any on hand

After being bitten by one, then discovering I'm allergic to the suckers, I invested in the mortein outdoor wasp spray to dispose of the nest.

The instructions on the can tells you to wear long sleeve clothing, leave the door to your house open, shake the can, spray the nest and then run like hell to the safety of your house, and don't forget to close the door behind you!!!

It is very effective.

if you squirt the nest with water - like from a hose - it will 'melt' away and the wasps will fly away.
