here's a portion from the email i got from my boss in regards to some FAQs for the dept's website:

This needs to be done ASAP Like yesterday so can I please have some questions with possible answers by 9:30 am 14/2/2002.

i got this at 8:40 this morning! bloody hell! couldn't i have been told about this YESTERDAY?! i swear, i'm never gonna work for the gov't again!

he got his QnA at 9:15am and needless to say, both him and the big boss were happy.

The correct response is:

"I knew you wanted it done yesterday so I did it yesterday, and if you'd been at your desk yesterday you would have had it yesterday, but as you weren't doing what you're paid to do and I am then I'm too busy to do it today so I'll give it to you tomorrow if you e-mail me with the same request the day after tomorrow and then you'll still have it yesterday."
