If you lodge your tax return electronically on the net, you don't type in Mr or whatever your title is, but select it from a list. I picked Most Reverend last year and my tax assessment issued with that on it. I might be a major-general or judge next year. I'll keep going with different titles until they find out. I just want to see if any human actually looks at tax files any more.

Until they decide to audit every "Most Reverend", in which case you decided to dob yourself in unnecessarily!

My occupation gets targeted every few years in some new tax blitz, anyway. I'd say ministers of religion aren't on the tax man's hit list as likely tax dodgers.

Me, too. But there's some opportunities for stupidity and fun that I just can't resist. And I'm quite serious that I want to see if their system picks these things up, because if it doesn't it's dangerous as it would be easy to create a false identity.
