i am thinking of filling in that gap infront of my ba falcon and autobarn sells that mesh like i found on this xr for $35 for a sheet and im just wondering if i had to do this mod myself, how i would go about installing it.
If you are talking about the space below the number plate, then I suggest you go to Ford and buy the the ford factory mesh already folded into the right shape. There are also ones available from herrods etc as well.
It is a simple job to fit - drop the front tray that sits in behind the bumper. Fit the mesh in the opening and sikaflex it in place.
Ford dont have Factory fit lower grill, there are plenty of after market ones around that fit striaght in, last week i got the Herrod lower grill series ll. have a look in the Herrod forums there is a thread about the grills there...
I purchased my lower grill from Kloster Ford about 3 weeks ago. It is a ford item.
some dealers use aftermarket sources like a ratchet bar i was getting for my ute, but they might be making them now post a part no: from your recipt it will help alot of poeple out, do you have a picture of your under bumper grill ?
This might not be relevant but I had the T-series grill put in the pursuit front end on my XR, all done at the dealership so I guess they should have ways to fit it (nicely) for you. But again, as everybody knows, I've got zero technical knowledge so I had nowhere else to go in the first place....LOL

doesn't the grill on the XR differ to the one on the XT because the front spoiler is a different shape. Then does ford make the grill to fit the xt, and would it be the same price as the xr one, because thats why i was looking for a cheap alternative. At the moment im just looking around and getting ideas from what evreryone has done to their BA's. Thanks for your help so far
The grill I was talking about is available from Kloster Ford Newcastle. The part code is x/grill. Iam unsure of its suitability for the XT falcon. But it looks great on my XR.
