Some of you might know the page already but it's a page dedicated to the mighty EA. I post sometimes when people what to know things other than how to fit a Porche 911 ashtray into to an EA!!:crazy1:. Anyway, this electrictian gave the boys instructions of how to do some special kind of jumpstart or something, havent seen the original post but this is the reply from someone who tried it.
Just tried your method for jumping ECU, you fvcking moron.
Thanks a fvcking lot!
It half worked. Pump operated and fuel system pressurized.
Then when I was fiddling around with wires and relay one bank of injectors must have opened and somehow a spark was delivered to one or more cylinders with an intake valve open. Blew the fvcking intake manifold right off and took out the window on the car parked next to it and started a fire in the interior of that car with the fuel that blew across or was in the manifold. Whole interior is burnt out and exterior paint burnt also. Lucky the relay isn't on that side or I'd be dead from exploding manifold. As it is I've lost my eyebrows and half my hair and minor burns on face and hands. Set fire to my engine bay with fuel spewing out of the fuel line because I couldn't get to relay to shut it off and blew onto the car on the driver's side of my car and has destroyed the paint on the front half of that car. Burnt all the hoses and wiring in my engine bay. My battery exploded and acid has ruined paint on my car and a few others in the car park. Fried my ECU. The owner of the cars that were damaged are threatening to sue me. Fire brigade had three units turn out and say I'll be up for at least a couple of grand for each unit because I'm not insured. I'll be lucky to get out of this under $25,000, you fvcking idiot.
It can't damage anything unless you put mains power into it, you said. Bullsh!t.
What the fvck are you going to do about it?
Edit adds: not two cars ruined, total is five others of which two were adjacent and badly burnt - one recent Commodore and a fvcking Merc Kompressor, for Chrissake. I am in deep
sh!t, ben, and so are you.
than ben character is in DEEP DEEP shit! hehe if this is true, then i really pitty both guys. one for having to pay all that money and having his car wrecked, and the other one for being on the receiving end of a baseball bat bashing! hehe

just picture it, the intake blew clean off and went through the window of a car parked next to it, that must have been one serious bang, the car of the guy who wrote this is a EA S Pack MPI 5 speed manual.
If you read the rest of that thread it turns out to be a joke....

Sorry all.
Ask a mod to do it for you! I don't think they will mind on this one.
