Hi Guys, as most of you know I have been missing from the forum for some time. I was supplied with some info last night from a HSV Official who advised the following:

HSV will not use Australian built GenIII's next year as has been reported they will continue to import the engine as has been the case.

They are looking very seriously at moving away from the GenIII and this option seems a lot closer to reality. No word on what the r4eplacement engine will be, however I will keep working to find out.

There won't be an Aussie LS1 for some time yet - the V6 plant isn't online yet, and word has been that the LS1 is a low priority compared to that ...

Only other engines I can think of coming out of GM Powertrain is the XV8 and XV12 ...

mmmm .... V12 HSV .... drool ....

Saw a quick 20 second report on the new factory on the news a week or so ago.. the building was finished, the reporters etc. were inside it, but it was bone bare. Looked pretty large!!
