"I can't get enough of this" - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Hey teamsters,

I feel the "I can't get enough of this" theme is an integral part of the release of the BA, so I was thinking maybe Ford could have incorporated 5 or so seconds of the song to come up through the speakers every time you fired up the car.

Of course there would be an option to turn this off if it became too much of a nuisense but I think it would add to the occasion, much like the FORD logo on the display panel.

Ideas / suggestions?

Nuisance is right it'd be like the damn no seatbelt warning when you just want to back out your drive or move it 2 feet.

Yes i know it can be turned off, but it's one of those function's where you have to have your tongue hanging out of the left side of your mouth at just the right length and angle for it to work.

How about including a bit from the add as a animation for the computer on start up? Or atleast a changeable greeting or selectable. Ideally like a mobile phone, you can get all sorts of pictures, greeting messages etc.

i got a lift from one of the guys at the local ford dealer in a BA, and he had that song (slow jam) playing in the cd player, does that count ?

do they still give you a tape/cd with lots of stuff about the car on it? when i got my EB XR6 last year the owner still had the original tape that you got with the car, had instructions on how to use the different things in the car (stereo, cruise, etc) and a few songs to listen to - and the slogan "have you driven a Ford, lately?" (yes i bloody have im driving one now listening to this funny tape!!)

Slow Jam by New Order (try google search if you want lyrics and what cd's it is on). Widely avalible on kaaza or so Im told.

I think it would be a sign of good service if they were to package a CD for the car with some decent songs, Slow jam, the soundtracks to the other adds, maybe unearth a few local artists, maybe commission them to write a falcon song or something.. Have it mixed mode, with computer backgrounds, maybe a windows theme (with car noises?) etc, some videos etc. Add what 5c to the price of a car?

Thanks very much for that I have the Album so I have just been told. Turn it on Track #6 and there it is.
