Well after 4 years of owning the EB I sold it and decided to buy a newer car, so after looking at countless cars, ive ended up doing the unthinkable and buying a Holden !

Its a 2002 VXII SS, 6 speed, Leather, Sunroof, Side airbags, Exhaust and absoultly mint condition.


And just for the record It's a hell of a lot quicker than my mates BA XR8, bucause admittidly thats what I started out to buy !

But oh well Im happy with my choice anyway, but even having said that, I still love the BA's !

First congrats on your purchase the VX SS was a very nice set of wheels.

I owned a manual BA XR8 and a very close friend of mine owns a VX2 SS manual like yours. I can tell you now if you asked both of us, the VX is in no way a 'hell of lot quicker' (stock vs stock)- not even a bit quicker in fact and his has more km's than mine. That's not to mention the BA's better torque, ride, features and comfort which are world's apart IMO. Don't get me wrong, the VX SS is one of my favourites and great value for money (now selling in the high $20k mark), but if money was not a factor and you were seriously in a position to buy a BA XR8 and didn't because of the VX SS then I would be very, very surprised. Maybe your mates BA XR8 is an auto or a bad example? The auto's 'felt' much slower off the line.

Cant blaim you for saving the $ over a XR8 but theres no way your cars heaps quicker. If you had the current SS you might go a bit quicker but VX= no way unless modded or your mate cant drive.

Having said this im glad you rate this as the reason for going to the dark side as Ford will realise the importance of grunt...Keep telling everyone please.

Sorry to all thoose that think the BA XR8 is quicker, Ive got the bad news they are not ! My mate used to have a VTII SS GENIII 6 SPD before I bought the VX and i used to drive it alot, and even in that I beat many BA's !

Read the factory quarter times and compare !!
