Could it be because Holden is a sponsor? Perhaps they had a clause saying that no other car manufacturers could advertise (Makes sense. As a sponsor I'd roll heads if a competitors product was advertised during an event that I sponsored.). Dunno, just a thought...

I would have liked to have seen the FPV GT ad on the Bathurst 1000 Telecast.

Possibly, except the awd Magna ads... and the Ford RTV ads etc. No, I think Minge is right, Ford and FPV marketing department is just straight out hopeless.
Well done Ford, you really are trying to make me lose my one eyed, diehard love of your brand arnt you?
Realised one thing when I spied the GT badges on the backs of the FPR cars...
From the first showing at Bathurst last year, the BA Supercar should have been called the BA Falcon GT Supercar. No question about it, and I can't believe no one did it. How easy is it to establish a link between the showroom vehicle and the racecar by giving it the same bloody model name, let alone GT! They did it with XR8, yet not with GT... Hello?
Every car would need a GT badge on the boot, and the FPR car wearing the FPV liverly should have been a showroom GT lookalike - stripes and all. It's not like it's covered in sponsors, so that shouldn't have been to hard. Use that one for FPV advertising too, sit it next to the GT at motorshows - so many opportunities to push the brand, the team, and sell the car.
In regards to TV advertising, over here we got the Series 2 SS ad for the first time (and several times after that) and a slightly remade origional BA Falcon ad, advertising something to do with the All Blacks and the Falcon.
I was just saying yesterday to my better half that I bet FPV would show the new add today durring the Bathurst coverage, and not once did I see it and I didn't move from the tele all day,
So disapointing FPV.
