Yep, I had a car accident on Friday night :( Some loser P plater in a VB Commodore hit me while I was driving home through Greensborough!! There were two lanes for turning right and I was in the inner lane when this f#@head in the outer lane just turned right into me! He was about a car length in front and was apparently trying to do a u turn!! So now I have to go through the hassle of waiting till my insurance chases up his, then getting the car repaired and being without a car for work. My front left light is smashed, and the bumper, bonnet and front 3/4 panel are damaged too, as well as the front skirt. Luckily the car can still be driven, but it's a pain in the arse, especially when some people are so irresponsible on the roads.
My weekend ended on a brighter note because on Sunday afternoon I saw a BA Fairmont Ghia driving through Albert st in Preston, definitely looks a winner!!
Thanks :) I'm cool which is the most important thing of course, was more angry than anything!! The insurance people are dodgy too, the easiest thing for me was to lodge a claim and let them chase up the other guys insurance, but in the mean time, my rating is put down to 3 from 1, and I have an excess of $850!! Of course, until they verify the story and chase it up, I just have to wait, then they waive that and I can get the car fixed. So now the waiting game :)

bad to hear fte22, such a nice car aswell!
When i had my accident a couple of months ago, I just sent it off to my insurance company and they did all the hard work for me.
I couldnt be bothered waiting for the woman at fault to organise everything, and I had my car back within about 10 days. (because it was her fault, I didnt have to pay any excess, and i didnt lose my no claim bonus/rating)
Hopefully everything sorts itself out, and that you get your rating an excess back! But most of all, you're ok!
Sorry to hear it.... people do some incredibly dumb things.
Yesterday I was forced to throw my Falcon onto a roundabout to avoid a man in an old Mazda 121, who simply drove straight thru the roundabout instead of staying in his outside lane. I was less than impressed as the car slammed up and down the roundabout, fortunately no damage to the rims.
People just don't think... common sense isn't so common anymore.
Hope it gets fixed alright, I know how frustrating it can be... good luck!

How much boost?
Sorry to hear about your car fte22:oo1: .
It's a shame that there's so many bad drivers on the road these days.
I hope you get you car back ASAP and in original condition.

Good news this morning, I rang the insurance and it's all been sorted out, the guy accepted responsibility and I am clear to take it in for repairs. The only thing is, I can't take it in till the 9th of October and when I do, it's gonna take a week :( I have the week off work and am going away that week so I guess it's worked out all good in the end :)
