Well not really but if I find out who the drop kick was that designed where the dizzy goes I will shove one up him and then see if he can work on it.
Car was going like crap so checked the leads. One broke so thought I will change cap, rotor and leads. Not good when engine is still hot........... Anyway finally got it all together and went for a blat.
Yep sure enough halfway back the car dies, obviously electrical, and the fricken coil wire must have come loose. Checked for spark..none.....so managed to get the wire outside of the inlet manifold and managed to get spark. What a biatch to put back on..........Finally managed it turned key and away she went.

Seems to run Ok now but will reroute the leads so it doesn't happen again. Hopefully I have fixed the problem. Took the air filter etc off to refit the lead and threw them in the boot. On the way back gave it heaps (purely for testing purposes LOL) from 60 klms to 105 klms up a hill.......Jeez what a nice throaty roar,,,,,,,shame it can't be like that all the time

I have believe it or not managed to completely change a dizzy on an EA with MPFI without removing the mainfold but i can tell nyou it was an absolute bitch to do.

its a lot easier if you remove the IAC motor as well as the top of the airbox, its only 2 10mm bolts and the connector for the wires. it gives you a lot more room to move - and if the engine is cold its "nearly" not a shit job.
though i have had a bit of practice so maybe im used to it.
and make sure you put the IAC motor back on in the correct direction- if you put it the other way the car idles at like 1500rpm!!

I can get new Genuine Holden/Ford/Audi/Land Rover/Honda parts cheap, PM me!
yeah same as rollin, with a bit of practice it's actully pretty easy.
If you want a pain in the arse location go play with a Holden 253! Right at the back of the motor in the middle of the v behind the carby.
Bastard to reach.
