I have a question

Why did the T series maintain the 50 part?

Why not TE56?

bugger me if i know! nfi to be honest... it REALY should have been TE/TS/TL56 but it isn't... dunno why

I guess it's like David Flint said on one of the other threads, it's about cost, etc, with the new tooling costs, design, application stencils, it was more viable to reuse the 50 badges. On a different perspective, it gives the older T-series some sort of history, not just a short lived 'mistake', 'one hit wonder'?

A BMW 540i has a 4.4l V8 so I guess it's a similar situation. I don't think it matters anyway,

I was thining about that but it doesnt really matter. I dont see the point in really chanigng the name everytime a new engine with different displacement is used. Still if they all wil be using the 5.4 for the next falcon i'd say the name that would suit the most would be TS/TE/TL54
