Well, I ran 3D Mark 2003, was kinda bored, and it.. dissapointed me to say the least.
My system is pretty old, but I would have thought it could have scored better...
AMD Athlon "Thunderbird C" 1.33GHz
512MB PC133 SDRAM
Asus A7V133 Motherboard, VIA KT133A Chipset
ATA100 7200rpm 30GB Western Digital U-Caviar HDD
Asus AGP-V7700 Deluxe 64MB GeForce 2 GTS Pro DDR
Microsoft Windows ME and Direct X 9.0b
My card is already overclocked. Asus Tweak Utility. Stock is runs 350MHz core and 400MHz memory. Mine runs 390MHz core and 460MHz memory. Its a bit faster then a GeForce 2 Ultra.

Well, what year would that system have been manufactured? 2000? 2001?...
If you bench using a program developed a minimum of 2 years later, of course you'll be disappointed with that benchmark... you've done well with what you have... my friend made the comment that it was a very sweet system in its day...and every system has its day...it comes and goes...now...you were talking about upgrading were'nt you?? ;-)

It is almost the identical system to my #2 PC. In its day it was a beast but, as time goes, it became the second pc. Current PC is more suited to todays games running a OCed 2600+ and 9800Pro. Still, my old Thunderbird still runs well and, for 90% of things, is easily fast enough.
I was expecting at least like 1000 3D Marks.. considering in 3D Mark 2001 this thing used to score almost 10,000, and I can still play most new games (Doom 3 aside). The P4 and Radeon will fix that though, hehe.
Christ steffo your slow system would kill mine...a P3 600B(first of 133bus,last 1 slot!)133/384mb, aopen apxpro2 mobo, 32mb leadtek geforce(1st released DDR video), WD 16g, jaton DVD decoder card,sblive,19" beige monster and i still run 98se! Its old and very reliable hasnt crashed in 2 yrs!
Dam thing cost me $4K+... but i think i got me moneys worth, I just dont play games on it anymore use xbox instead.
I just cant justify a upgrade just to surf the net and photoshop... yet.

Mine was $3,117.00 not including the $1,000 printer and the $120 scanner. If you include all that.. its $4,237.00
Definitley got my money's worth, but if this thing can't run Doom 3, or more importantly, Half Life 2, it must be upgraded. I've been waiting for HL2 for many years, since they announced it back in 1999 (damn you Valve and your slowness).
I have a much more lean budget for the new comp... $1,750.00 this time around, keeping the old printer and scanner. They're both still very good (especially the printer).
