Well, I have always hated Telstra so it's time to mess with them!
Since we only have optus and never usually get bills from Telstra we like to play silly buggers with them when we can.

We called (as in my wife called) a competition line ($0.55 call) the other day and, as it's Telstra, we just recieved a bill from them. This happens probablyy twice a year. Last time it happened we overpaid $0.35 just to bug them so this bill is for a whopping $0.20!!! So, heres the question, should I underpay them by 1 cent or overpay them by 3 cents?

I figure that why pay exact, I like messing with there accounts. Call it a childish way to annoy them!

So what shall I do this time?

Overpay, if you underpay, they may just charge you fees for not paying them enough, send them 1c per day for the next 20 days, that will make accounting fun for them :0)

Phone them and tell them you need to make a payment plan up, as you just can't afford such an outlay in one go, dont tell them the bill number or the amount till you have them all wound up, then tell them the bill number.

hehe over pay them by 3 cents.

my mum was getting letters from optus for two years saying that optus owed my mum 2 cents, then about three weeks ago they payed up lol, were still trying to work out what were gonna splurge the 2cents on lol.

Delay it as much as you can, keep calling and getting extentions on all the demand notices they send you. How much does it cost for them to post the reminders out?

Doesnt the bill say that you are not yet required to pay this amount ?

As everything is electronic these days, the only annoyance you'll give them though is the cost of postage and the paper the reminder letter is printed on.
