ok i need to turn a .LWP file into a word document. i have a uni project that has been done on another computer using lotus word pro and i don't have that computer anymore, and now i can't open the file. Does any one know a program that i can download form internet to change it into a .doc file?

All I can suggest is opening it in Notepad, resaving it to a TXT file and then opening it in Word. You'll lose all your formatting but you should be able to keep the actual doc.

look it up on the net ,there should be a program out there somewhere,someone must have made one ,or google it

its easy, well...if i understand correctly, now if your running xp, which im sure you are, go to tools, then folder options, click view, scroll down till you see "hide extensions for known file types" if its ticked, it means you cant see what type of file it ends in example corty.bmp, you wont see the .bmp, untick the box & all your files will now read these extensions, then just rename the file to .doc, dont tick any other boxes, if your unlucky, you wont be able to change it back. but that shouldnt happen, just dont tick anything that reads something like, always open these type of files with this program, if that doesnt work, i suggest a bottle of whiskey & a shotgun, that'll teach that damn computer whose boss hehehe

LWP are Lotus wordpro files.

couldn't find any thing that was free. so did a big ass search and found an old copy of lotus. seemed to do the trick.
