I think I got done

Today, 8/04/03 at 2:00 AM i was driving down Sydney Rd / Hume Highway.

Its was the Area just after the cemetary and before the F1 motel (If you guys know the area).

The road at this point is 3 Lanes, with not a car in sight.

Then i see the thief.

Center Median strip with the ole laser gun.

Slap the auto into second to slow me down, but im pretty sure it was too late.

I would have been doing around 75-80 (its marked as a 70 zone i believe)

As i was driving past, i saw the two of em, putting th laser away

Question is.. Did i get pinged ?

Cheers

Will

If you got snatched by a Handhelp Speed gun the normal procedure would be to chase you up & hand you a Ticket. My bet is your safe

Sweet, thats what i wanted to hear.

Im assuming at that time of night they were trolling for the big speeds?

Its pretty sucky though. Sif hit anyone going in a straight line at 2 am.

Taking into account speedo error (5-7%) and Victorian tolerance (10% -3kmh) even if you were doing 80 you wernt going fast enough to get pinged.

They don't care about your speedo error - its whatever tolerance they decide to apply on the night or day for that matter. But a pushing the speed limit on a long straight road in a major city, with good visibility, without any other traffic on it is begging to be be fined these days.
Victoria Rd going through Gladesville (NSW) long straight stretch of multiple lane with no traffic at 5:00am on a Saturday or Sunday when I'm going to work they're there almost without fail.
