After the sale of my much loved EFII V8 last week, I'm feeling quite blue.

I'm now driving a KF Laser, and I'm finding that 79kW of raw Laser power just doesn't cut it. Being the first 4cyl car I've ever owned its taking me a while to adjust to the "Left Lane" car.

I have to wait for large gaps in traffic before I pull out, it seems to take 5 minutes to get to 100 on the freeway and I can't do the famous quick dash infront of traffic to make that right turn comming up

On the other hand, its also the first car I've had that doesn't cost $60 a week to put fuel in, I put in $25 of premo in on Friday night nearly got 400k's !!!!!!! Extremely pleased, there.... My insurance has gone down by over half too, but still.. Thats not enough to keep me away from the V8 Fords....

Will be buying a 351 ZD Fairlane very soon for my restoration project........ And I'll be buying a EB GT soon after that if the funds allow !

You poor bugger it is quite a serious case left untreated you may need to be institutionalised for public safety.

This is can be quite a serious disease believe me. When you have to hum in your head bwump bwump bwump burrrrrrr at the lights
in a imaginary drag race with a Hyundai Excel then you know things have gone from bad to worse. .

When you hang around with delinquents in rice-burning shopping trolleys as a act of counselling and group therapy you will then become clinically depressed and accept your condition and try and live with it which you know you never will.

You should then be sydated and hospitalised if you try and attempt to pull monster burnouts in your laser in not only interests of public safety dreaming that you can pull smokeshows from the back rather than the front causing all manner of traffic chaos and giving the youth of today the impression that the 4cylinder is a accepted car culture in society when it is a sinister danger to it! Today 4 cylinders tomorrow automated battery powered cars!

I know exactly how you feel mate but your still doing better than me I hop into a 1.6litre with only 56kw and BOY do I miss having the power, I went down to Melbourne the other week and I wish I had of taken the XR8 for the exact reasons you mentioned, I just didnt have the power to pull out infront of people without them on my arse.But the economy is FANTASTIC.

Just remember when you get your next V8 and want to go out and go beserk as soon as the papers are signed .............
check if it has a rev limiter.

i get V8 withdrawals just driving the 98kw laser to work, i cant imagine the pain your feeling at the moment, and cant imagine the anguish i would have, if i was to return home and my 'baby' wasnt in the car port waiting to be fired up !

Yeha i can only imagine what you would feel missing out on a V8. Even for myself after one listen of a sweet sweet note of a modified TS50 220kw i've gone back to wanting a V8 for my next car.
