Hi,

I am looking at getting a secondhand image dynamics IDQ-12 subwoofer, just wondering if any body knows how good they are and what the new price is.

very popular in the US, there meant to be very good for the price you pay for them.

From what I have read they seem to be very big with the "DB" racers.. Huge output via ported boxes with large amplification..

I could be wrong but I also believe they have dual voice coil's..

The Boys at Car Audio Australia seem to use them quite a bit...

I'm sure if you mount them facing rearwards and yell doof doof through them loud enough, you'll get a couple of extra kilowatts of boost.

Don't really want "doof doof" as I hate techno and I don't want to drive around town with the stereo so loud you can hear it blocks away, I just want it to add extra bass extention, not just overload the bass.
