Where did you get your scoop? And how did you manage to fit a 4 in pipe to your airbox. Is it going straight into the top of the airbox with the front intake removed? I am trying to get more air in but have run in to problems. Would appreciate any info as it is the current project im having a go at.
Ok, ok, ok...... here are a few replys to your questions....
The scoop looks pretty cool, yet unusual for a late model car.... It is about 12cm at the highest point of the bonnet (front top of scoop).
High flowed injectors....... Well basically they change some little springs in the injector itself to allow it to flow more fuel and then they change the setting on the computer.
I got my scoop at a mechanics workshop (the mechanic fiberglasses the scoops). The 4 inch pipe goes straight to the connection where the snorkel used to be.
I dont yet have a photo with she scoop on (i onlt got it about a month ago). As soon as i get one i will post it.
Yes, i also read somewhere that the futura had 8 speakers..........NOT TRUE........ It has 2 small tweeters on the top of the dash, 2 midrange speakers on the side of the front doors and 2 midrange speakers on the parcel shelf........So it is 6 not 8......
I think i am getting my crow cam next week....... Does anyone have any info on the cam?
Don't know about the Crow cam, but I put an SVO one in my ED
and I could really feel the extra punch over 3000rpm, BUT, with the standard diff and auto, it was actually SLOWER in the initial takeoff- i.e. to 60. But now, with a 3.45 diff and a T5, the cam really starts to work properly! My advice-do the diff and transmission first- is yours an auto?
