Hey just wondering who you fellas use to insure your cars with espically modded cars with not so good drivers, um like me. I rang just car insurance today and to insure a BA XR8 for $40,000 they quote 5200 and 5750 with mods full zorst euc, lowered, pullies, cai. Now i am a rating 6 driver as i never had insurance in my name before. I've had a small crash that I paid for and didnt claim, they dont care cause i didnt claim, plus i got booked for speeding which they dont care about. Anyone else in the same boat i thought it would be higher but its still a little high, any other compaines i should try. Yea and im only 19.

how the hell can a 19yr old afford a BA XR8, well anyway ya gonna find it hard to get insurance and if you do it will be well over $5000! Most dont insure under 25's with V8's. Easiest thing to do is put it in your mum or dads name.
well ive got nothing else to spend my money on, and yea justcars quoted me $5750 for a modded xr8. My ef xr8 is in dads business name as it only costs $12oo a year, thats through a broker and im not mentioned on the policy either. But that was still cheaper than the N.R.M.A quote of $10,200, for an EF. Just wondering if theres any other's out there that might insure ME!

Anything over $3000 for insurance is just a waste.
Stay with the car you have, get your own insurance and work your way up to a better rating then go all out & get the car of your dreams.
Cheers
