once again, i have been shafted by insurance. Ford Insure took me on and said yes we will insure your car and mods, then after a few weeks, i got a letter (today) with a cheque saying 'nah sorry we changed our minds'.
so, i may have to go just car insurance ? anywhere else i should try ?? bare inmind, under 25 with V8.

hey dude know the feeling i bough an ef xr8 without checking on the slip and i cant get any so the car is put in a business name being my dads business and its 1350 ayear for me an 18 yr old to drive it plus i can get a no claim bonus

Just Car would seem to be your only option. Try ringing an insurance broker and see if they can find something for you. may be a little dearer than 'normal' insurance quotes but should be cheaper than just 'take an arm or leg' insurance.

this is what they said " we advise that as the vehicle has been modified from the manufactorers specs, it falls outside our underwriting guidelines and we therefore decline"

When you apply for insurance from now on, there is a standard question that goes like "Have you ever had insurance cancelled or declined" You will now have to answer yes! It's happened to me before and it sucks, as some insurance companies will charge you more premium or a larger excess just because of this - even though it's the original insurance company that made the wrong decision in the first place.

haha, i had the same problem, v8 Xd falcon would have cost me 800 bucks, but its under my dads name now its a sweet 300 bucks, fully comprehensive muaha
