the reason i posted this is to say that i was amazed by two things:
1. how shocking the car itself is. i had a car which was in the same category (1985 ford telstar) and it was a whole class above this shitbox.
2. that thing's got a fair bit of power! it's an auto and you can almost get the front wheels spinning! weird!
My mate had a camira. man did he have HEAPS of probles with it. turfed it for a VN (lol not much better) but hasnt had asmany probs. They especially chew through CV joint rubbers, or maybe it's just the way he drove it?

i'm not really concerned with reliability since i'm getting rid of it tomorrow, or wed morning! hehe i'll thrash it while i've got it, and it's none of my concern what happens after that! :D
maybe i'll even rock up to the club meeting in a holden tomorrow... uhhh, that would be scary! lol

anyway, i'm off to bed fellas!

I work at a Holden wrecker on weekend and I can confirm that they are indeed sh*tboxes. We have people ring up trying to sell them to us all the time, we all just roll around the floor laughing when this happens and tell them if they bring it out we won't charge them any money to leave it. Another wrecker down the road had a good story where a bloke rocked up in his Camira and asked if they wanted to buy it. No said the wrecker guy. OK you can have it for free said the Camira guy. No thanks said the wrecker guy, I'll only charge you $20 to leave it here. So the Camira guy forked out the $20 and walked off!
Try putting the handbrake on when accellerating, you should be able to get it to smoke then!:MUha:

Urgghhh.. A Camira!
These things are the nearly the biggest lemons on the roads. My brother had one for a short amount of time. I dared not drive behind him, the amount of oil it burnt was unbelievable, same as any other example. When he pissed it off for a little auto '82 vintage Meteor, he thought he was in heaven.
So that says how good the Camira was.
Oh, but like Venom XR said, we can't knock the Camira, being car of the year and all.
Russell.
