John ‘Jack’ Herrod, father of the legendary Ford tuner Rob Herrod, passed away suddenly early on Sunday morning, 5th September, aged 73.

Jack started the Herrod family business in 1964 at a BP Service Station in Bell St. Coburg along with Rob, a business he owned and operated successfully until 1978. One year later Jack opened Herrod Automotive in Sussex St Coburg where Jack was instrumental in building the Herrod Motorsport business into the success it is today. Jack continued to actively work in the business on a daily basis until his untimely passing.

A bit of a larrikin, always a true gentleman, Jack will be missed by all those his life enhanced.

Our thoughts and wishes are with Rob and his Family in their time of loss.

A service will be held for Jack at the Fawkner Memorial Park, 1187 Sydney Road, Fawkner Victoria @ 10am on Thursday 9th September.

Oh my god!!!! NO!!

I was just chatting to him a month or so ago about his latest car project! He was so open and friendly, a true gentleman (but he certainly knew his stuff too!!)
