eek Jap good, Ford & GM bad.

Guys,
Just finished browsing some of the aussie performance boards which are often a good source of amusement with posts like, da cops busted my ass blah blah blah.
Anyway it makes you wonder about the mentality of some of the younger persons we share the road with, drive a little fart box with a loud annoying exhaust and they really think they drive a performance vehicle.
Interesting that there is this fairly common thread that anything jap is good and real performance cars by tickford or HSV are just taxis ( they might be but thay are bloody fast taxis).
Pity really as some of these tossers wouldnt know a performance car if it drove over the top of them!!

Cheers.

sometimes the rice (stock) is better. Like if you can find a genuine R34 GTR skyline on the road. Usually driven by a business man in their 40s, with no doof-doof music or bodykits - unlike all of the riceboys who get GTS Skylines and pretend their the real thing.

You know what makes me wonder? When people who are supposedly in to cars bag others for the type of car they drive.

Well i would debate back to them if they think HSV's and Tickford's are Taxi's, guess what they drive as taxi's in Japan. Yes skyline 4 door models. I think these people who make these claims are obviously very narrow minded and have a severe lack of knowledge in cars.

I'm sure the real enthusiasts who drive Japanese imports not riced would appreciate our cars just as we appreciate theres.

For inspiration I'd refer to Pretty Fly (For a white guy) or, as I would say, Pretty Fly (For a Rice Guy) song by Offspring.

"You know its kinda hard
Just to get along today
Our subject isn't cool
But he fakes it anyway
He may not have a clue
He may not have style
But everything he lacks
Well he makes up in denial

So don't debate. A player straight
You know he really doesn't get it anyway...."
