Question Job for x-mas holidays?

hey guys,
im 17 and doing year 11 and im after some ideas for a casual/part-time job for the xmas holidays aswell as my part-time job at coles

im currently doing 10 hours (3 shifts a week) at coles, so maybe some kinda job that would be a bit flexible with hours, thanks

Daniel :D

p.s. and yes i will ask coles for more shifts but im just after other options

Re: Job for x-mas holidays?

I don't know if skilled engineering is in Vic ( i guess so, they're a big company). They do placements for extra work on a casual - full time basis. Its generally trade related but they do offer office stuff.

Try an employment agency.

Get a factory job. It's the best thing I did last year, and I can't wait until Uni finishes so I can start again to earn some good $$$

yeah factory is the way to go. i work at a factory and the money is excelent...mainly coz the job is boring though. around christmas there are alot of shop jobs going due to the high demand in the christmas market. if your keen to work you shouldnt have any troubles finding something.

Re: Job for x-mas holidays?

Seeing as tho you work for coles, see if you can get into one of the warehouses. I'm at the Kmart one in Breaside and i know they have taken students for the holiday. Good money to a bit over $29 an hour for 27 hours a week. Those hours could be 3 9 hour days or 4 6 hour days, times 6 till 3:21pm or 9:40am till 7pm. Not sure if those hours or pay apply to the coles warehouse at Hampton Park. Apply online at the coles web site.

Good luck

Re: Job for x-mas holidays?

yer first option would be to try and get more hours at coles

next option would be catalogue runs as i know the ppl who do it (the hours would be very flexible)

third option would be a factory job

thx guys

Re: Job for x-mas holidays?

catalogue runs are crap, you spend ages just folding brochures, its not worth it.

And thats crap we always have papers on the table that have to be put together, then she wakes up a 2:30 to go hand them out, goes to work at 7 then does paper rounds after work till 7 and then comes home to fold them now thats what i call a crap job
