just another victim

driving home last night up tonkin hwy and i thought i would do a bit of a top speed test. wont say what i saw, but as i backed off, i had a pair of headlights close me down very quickly. i was sitting on 120 and some guy in a VR/VS commode SS(cant tell the difference...both ugly) goes past, then slows. anyway, this arseclown was bloody begging to race. it didnt matter what speed i did, he matched it. if i was in the left lane, he sat beside me in the right, if i accelerated to cruising speed and moved to the right to overtake, he sped up.

anyway, approached a set of lights side by side (no surpirise there then) and they changed green..so i gassed it. arseclown also gassed it...i held out to 160 and then backed off. at that point, i had 3 or so car lengths between us and the gap was widening.

tryly, it felt damn good. the XR has had other victims, but none so satsifying to date.

cant say too much to the commode driver, except...

mate, your car is

At least you won. It is pathetic when people do that though, it really makes you nervous. It's worse if you lose.

What XR do you have?

hiya paul...i have a series 3 auxr6. slush box, premium sound, otherwise nothing too out of the ordinary...but i love to drive it. last night was the first thrash with the sound up nice and loud.

sisters of mercy singing temple of love, 12 inch version, at max decibels is truly awe-inspiring.

hiya blurter...mate, the rs wouldbt beat too much right now. it is engine-less, but my last escort had done much the same to v8 commodes...it just ran out of steam a bit sooner than the xr.

Onya RS, Tonkin is good in places, with 4 lanes nicely divided by a shrub covered median strip.

Good to see Ford have a win.
