Just bought an EBII Fairmont - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Hey guys,

As the subject says, I just bought an EB series II Fairmont. Had $7990 on it, got $2000 trade in on my EAII Ghia and I managed to talk him down to $5000 change over. The car is absolutely imaculate. It has 146,000k's on the clock and has just had the brake booster replaced and injectors serviced. It's everglade green (according to My Ford). It has brand new tyres and rego till November. Do you guys think I got a good deal?

I will post pics on monday when I pick it up, I'm still waiting for the loan to be finalised. I guess I'm gunna have to change my user name now :)

$5000 sounds like a good buy for an EB2 if its immaculate. Is it a ghia? Hopefully u wont have as many probs with this car as u did with your poor old EA. Good luck.

Nah it's not a Ghia, but it's got all the stuff the EA Ghia has. I really hope I don't have trouble with it as well!! The main reason I got it was it only had 146,000k's on it. Hopefully it's already had a head gasket done!

Well done on the purchase mate. I'd be interested to know how it compares to the EA in terms of performance etc.

I can't wait to pick it up! The injectors are getting done on monday so I have to wait till lunch time to get it :(

Also, does anyone know what type of diff they have? Is it 3.08? LSD or open?
