im going to be doing a few mods to my XE next week & needed to know a few things before i get into it-

1-Will a XD LTD bonnet fit onto my standard XE without needing to change the guards? (is the bonnet the same width?)

2-can i bolt in later model (EAorEL probly) seats?

3-Does Vynil Paint/dye work on carpet?

1 - No idea on this one.

2- EA I think has different mounting to the XE/XD/XF from my memory of my XF, I dont think they can just bolt in.

3- Vynil Paint/Dye does work on carpet, but what colour are you trying to change from and to ?

Interior lights can also be swapped, I put an EF light into my XF, little bit of change but not a hard job.

The sunvisors, ummm good question.

im changing from a crappy yellow coloured carpet to black, should be OK.
another Question-

will a EA centre console(manual) fit into a XE.

as u can tell im updating my interior & want to use some readily available parts (from later models) that i can easily get my hands on that will bolt into a XE.
any ideas from u guys would be great 2!

Well I can comment a bit on auto console between XF and EA, the XF and EA console both share the 2 screws through the bottom of the glove box, and in the other places, best I remember, the front connection is different, the XF has 2 screws to hold it to the dash, these dont exist on the EA.

As to exact measurements and placement I have no idea, goto the wreckers with a tape measure and see how it goes. But I think you will find it should fit nicely.

Changing to black will be fine, you may want to look into new reproduction carpet isnt all that expensive if you get the base loop pile carpet, and looks really good, bought it years ago when I had my cortina. Rare Spares I think sell it for a start, or should point you in the right direction.
