or are other people on here forever planning their next car purchase? i dont know what it is about cars, but i get what i want, then want something else. i have just picked up the XR4, and have also had a lot of fun building the RS, and now i am thinking of building a car from scratch.
the latest weapon of choice will hopefully be either an anglia or mk1 cortina. i am hoping to find a decent solid shell and do whatever bodywork is needed and then paint it. i would really love to build the entire car myself and am enrolling at TAFE next year to get these skills.
now the hard part. how do i tell mrs rsgerry that i might have found both an anglia and a cortina?
i think i will give up on cars and have affairs instead. at least breaking the news to the boss will be easier....

It's weird isn't it...first you want something so bad because you haven't got it...then you find something else you want so you have to get it...obsessive compulsive disorder for cars maybe!

I happens to me every 6-12 months,I get a car spend a fortune on it,excactly how I want it then a nice looking car drives past or I make the mistake of buying WHEELS/MOTOR mag on the way home from work,I do abit of research on the net then what do you know ,I find myself trying to justify that car being so much more usful to myself or the missis as a family car and then we cant beleive how we coped for so long with out it.
(I think it called obsesive compulsive)
Im going through that phase right now ,this time the missis dosnt care ,she just says you better go and get it then. AAAAAALLLLLLRRRRRIGHTY THEN.
The car I want now for the missis.Subaru Forester either GT 2.0lt Turbo(125kw) low ks or a new XT 2.5lt turbo (155kw)mmm.
It has to be black with black leather and a huge moon roof.
shes got a Liberty now and its a great car but going shopping or away or the dog to the vet is a pain in the arse(ive got a hard top on my ute) so a wagon Is the obvious choice.
I'll see how I go and hold out for as long as I can, but trying to strugle with fate is very hard and who am I to step in the way of that.
just look under my login name ,formaly blah blah and blah blah.
I sometimes wish i could be happy with a car and leave it alone but i just cant do it theres always a better set of wheels (which i am in the process of aquiring) or a new this or that. It costs me money that sometimes would be better spent elsewhere or saved but i cant help it.
Then of course there is the storys conjured up to justify the purchase to Mrs kooky, and to a small degree to my own consience. Its a bloody nightmare!....... but i just wouldnt have it any other way!
