Just picked up vehicle from warranty repairs..
Just picked up my Fairmont that had been at the dealers for 4 days for various things.
Interestingly the trip computer average on pickup was 32l/100 klms!!!!!
Even when first I got it and gave it a real good squirting I only ever got 18.5 l or so. I reckon the boys in the workshop have been doing some serious lap work.
Anyway it went in for various things..... Rough idle, brake shudder, key fob not working, driveline vibration @ 110 km/h (enough to make you physically ill) and driving it home after 4 days in the workshop-
Brakes just as bad-
Driveline as above-
No new Key fob-
Now the auto shift is harsh and clunking, especially the shift down from 2nd to first when coasting to lights.
The brake rotors do not appear to have been touched, and have not been skimmed. And I guess I should have looked at the key fob, but I just naturally (and wrongly) assumed it had been replaced. The service Manager was too busy to speak much to me, but did say the driveline was 95% better but still not perfect! Guess everyones 0%-100% scale is sometimes different.....
