Hey all, I guess I'd better introduce myself first - I'm Marcus, 19 and from the Geelong area. I enjoy candlelit dinners, walks on the beach at night.....oh...whoops...wrong board :-)

ANYWAY....back to the subject at hand - was just heading home on the Princes Hwy when I spotted a BA ute (with covers still on it for some reason) that was flooring it from every light. At the last set of lights in Geelong we ended up either side of some sorta van. Thought I'd give it a bit when the lights changed and see how I went. So off we go, and outta the corner of my eye I see the ute fly past me - we both backed off as soon as we hit the speed limit (80) and there was already over a car-length between us. This thing absolutely flew! I drive a manual 92 TX5 V6, not exactly a sports car but it usually beats auto falcons, which I'm guessing is what this ute was.

Dunno what model it was because of the covers...it wasn't an XR8 because there was no bonnet bulge, and I doubt it was an XR6 because there probably woulda been about 5 lengths between us!!!

Oh, if there's any police reading this....we weren't racing per se...just happened to both accelerate quickly at the same time hehe ;-)

davocol: Nah mate it was actually a red one. Speaking of blue BAs though, I saw an uncovered sedan the other day going in the opposite direction - it looked great
