Read past the headline "Speeding Lottery" on how hard it is to get out of a fine. Wonder how many were actually booked during the stuff up on incorrect speed limit posting? Wonder how many got booked and how many were not actually not speeding but still paid the fine anyway? I can only guess there were lots as only several got off!

A perfect example of why "just don't speedand you won't get caught" will not prevent you getting a fine!

Not only what the government and the police doing is morally wrong, it is in some cases does not comply with the law itself.

But what does it matter?

I just hope it sparks a bloody uprising, and alot of people die. Great thing about it, is that it has been made easier by assigning so many police to traffic duty and fining people who are doing 5 kmph under the speed limit.

but im guessing they will switch em on in the next month.
I will definatly be setting cruise on 100 my speedo is around 4km out anyways. SO 96km i hope i will not get done. Definate robbery. say i speed up to stop a collision or overtake a fool or who knows, or take my eyes off speedo for a while and actually speed then slow back down my time still has increased over the time elapsed cameras so that means i will get a fine.

Its a joke and i can see me taking the train soon or finding a local job. What a crock of shit. Over it

Oh mate. I hope you didn't mean that. As bad as Victoria is I never ever want to see people die. And to 'hope' they do is a serious error of judgement. Knowing you better I hope the words didn't come out right.

What I guess you mean is that with the myopia displayed by Victoria's government we will see people die when in fact other measures could actually doa better job than the singular focus on speeding.

When I mean bloody uprising I really mean change in policy and outlook. When I say die, I mean removed from there current positions..

I didn't literally mean people taking up gradening tools and knives and running down to the nearest extortion office and bathing the walls in blood and boil their stomach and hitting them with the souls of there shoes. I think Ive listend to too many Iraqi press conferences..

But then again, we do live under a terrible dictatorship of advisors, who make us abide by irrational, illogical and misguided laws that restrict freedom, innocence and quality of life. Wars have been fought over less..
