JXR01 Copes a Hit n Run Incident

Well lastnight at 10:30pm whilst i stopped at the BP Service station in Rosehill for like 7 minutes or so, some low life hit the XR on the front bar and totally stuffed the left front guard. I didn't see it at first, but when i came back into the car i found the steering at an angle (i never leave my steering at an angle when i park) and the steering lock has engaged.

Have reported to the Police and they have recorded the details and rang the service station.
Anyways now the XR is damaged, and it goes to show in this world it's sooo hard to drive a clean, prestine car without some person spoiling it. Whats more now is i have to cop the damage costs.

I've calmed down alot now since lastnight and after a similar incident with the wagon i knew it was bound to strike during my XR ownership.

Just thought i'd post this to let my fellow 3FBer's know and watchout in car spaces as you never know what can happen. Looks like i won't be on the roads for a few weeks. Will let you guys know on the progress.

Mmm not a good season for red cars at the moment. Hopefully video surveillance (if there is any) will pick up the rego. I can see how pissed orf you'd be. So you're up for a new front guard?

I'll be off to the panelshop as well soon too - you'd like to think that having at least a half dozen empty car spaces either side of an XR in Westfields Liverpool carpark that no one would park next to you, let alone leave a mark and a nice little dent in the same mentioned guard.

**** there are some low lifes out there.

All the best with JXR01 Gary.

Re: JXR01 Copes a Hit n Run Incident

It's something I am always worry about and causes me to park well away from others, where possible. Obviously it's not always possible, or they find a way to hit you anyway.

Very frustrating, I fear the day I come to find the same. Sorry to hear it happened mate, to the most kept vehicle of us.

Re: JXR01 Copes a Hit n Run Incident

That sucks to hear I've been through the same with Juicy & it makes you so mad especially as I couldn't give a toss if someone hit the TX3 as I'd probably not even notice but when you take such pride & care for a car it cuts you to find some low life has hit it & not had the guts to even own up to it.

That sucks mate. Ive just had mine reprayed and i know that no matter how far away from other cars i park, someone will park next to me and open their doors straight into the side.
