I had the most incredible experience on the Weekend. Driving a Black Lamborghini Diablo which was only 3 months old. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!!!! What an incredible piece of machinery. I couldn't believe it when the bloke rolled into the hotel and handed me the keys. I would have thought that he would have demanded to park it himself, which is perfectly understandable, but he just gave me the keys and told me to look after it. Just hearing that engine roar into life would have been enough, but sitting behind the wheel and watching onlookers watch me drive the thing was intoxicating. Chicks were throwing pussy my way, I think guys were blowing me kisses too. I was way to nervous to thrash the thing, driving it slowly so that people could watch me was much better. I so wanted to take it cruising down Chapel St, and bag some gorgeous ****. My valet experience is complete cos I don't think that cars get much better than a Lamborghini. I love my job! :s5

I remember coming back from the city one night driving along Punt rd. in Collingwood we lined up against a near new Diablo. My mate didn't even bother to try and take him on in his EL.
Just before the next set of lights a VR Executive in the left lane cut across 3 lanes to line up beside this guy. He got his ass whooped then cut back into the left lane and turned off just a few hundred metres up the road. Wouldn't you get sick of try-hards costantly wanting to take you on in their V6 Commodores?
V6, V8, turbo-chargers, line em all up. I reckon this car could have taken them all. Pity I didn't get the chance to take it out on the city roads. Would have been looking for a rexy or HSV just to whoop their ass. I was afraid to ask the owner of the car whether he had done this, thought he might think that I would test it out for him. Mind you, anyone that pulls up against a Lambo already knows that their going to have their ass seriously whooped. I have been in hospitality for 4 years, driving countless pieces of crap. I estimate that I have driven close to 10,000 cars over that time, most Commodores, Falcons and Camry's so when one of these puppies pulls in, you know to lap it up and enjoy the experience.
That said, anyone line up at the lights against a prestige performance vehicle and watched the guy fully open up. My car couldn't drag off much, but with a sports exhaust, I drop it into neutral and rev it a little just to get the guy along sides attention like I want to drag. When the lights go, I take it easy, don't drag, and watch the other bloke open up. Its impressive just to watch these cars in full flight. Pity most the blokes who own them are too old to actually take the thing anywhere near its potential.

Haha that reminds me of the time I went to Repco to buy a Drive Belt for my Fairmont. The Box said Ford 302 V8 but The price sticker said Holden Commodore 5.0 Windsor.

Surprisingly there ARE countless cars out there that could give a diablo a run for it's money, and I'm not talking about other hundred thousand dollar sports cars either. Sure it's fast, but the amount of money and time people put into their cars, especially the street legal drag strip ones the Diablo suddenly doesn't look that good. Just needs a shitty done up Torana, Escort or Charger to wreck your day!
Mind you, I'd like to see any of these reach 300 clicks without the bonnet flying off, or taking a bend at 100km/h without the car flipping several times
But on a straight these cars have real potential. Makes you wonder if it's worth the 1/2 Milion+ to buy a luxury sports car.
What is the quarter mile time for a diablo anyway. I remember reading bout it once, and in all seriousness I wasn't too impressed. I think it was like low 13's or something, which is pretty quick, although something about $10,000 worth on an EA should be able to achieve.
