Anyone see on Today Tonight last night the story about the guy who bought a HSV GTS. He had trouble after trouble, and after a big legal fight, he has apparently won, GMH had appealed to the supreme court and lost their appeal. They have now paid him most of the cost of his GTS.
Could this be the pre-cursor for "Lemon Car LAws"
I know that if it is, there will be a lot of happy campers here who have bought and been stuck with Lemons.
One can only hope that we can finally get treated right with the purchase of our new vehicles

Didn't see it, but good on him. Lemon laws should have been introduced a long time ago, hopefully the law will come into effect here in Australia, will be good for ALL Australian built vehicle owners.
This case isn't the first and won't be the last.
You can win if you have enough patience, documentation and money (for the real winners, the legal brigade).

They said that its looking like they will actually bring in lemon laws just like those in america, i think its just a question of how long until it happens.
Is there any info on what the issues were (apart from the HSV badge) as one report I seen said it was in the dealers 7 times and had 12 warrenty repairs in 2 years. Hell mine clocked that up in 7 months. They claimed an engineer was scared to drive it?
Bring on the lemon laws.
This would be much better sorted out by the market-place, than by legislation.

you say he got "most" of the GTS cost back.....might sound good, but its not good enough. he bought a car that was a piece of shit, they built that piece of shit, and should refund the FULL price of the piece of shit.
