Living in the past

Seen an interesting sight yesterday, driving home through Verdun (Near Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills) came around a corner and saw a car with the old white and two blue stripes paint job of a "Cobra", then realised the car was an AU series 3.
But it did have a spoiler, and stock rims. Hmmmm............

Run Forrest , Run.......

Yeha ford dealers around my area had AU1 falcons painted in the cobra colours and called it the super bird or something. Suppose to be a marketing gimmick to sell the unsold AU1's.

I think the "Cobra" AUs are ex-rental cars.

You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen. It said, 'Parking Fine.'So that was nice.

These AU's are white AU I Forte's that were left sitting in storage for AAAAAAAAAGES coz nobody wanted them. In the middle of last year dealers started trying to sell them as these Cobra mock ups - complete with series 1 Futura grills (similar to the ute grill) and blue stripes front to back. :oo1:

It looks, IMHO, shyte.

There's nothing like thrashing your boss's car! :s6:

I remember seeing a couple of those at Thompson Ford in Parra.

I think there was also one out at Peter Warren once.

Hey... they are more rice than my car!!!
