Yep, the Hyundai has caught me out a few times, e.g. "Oh My God, is it? Is it? Oh My God, it isn't. Oh My God, eugggh. Oh My God, how embarassing, getting so excited over a 'Dai."

U gotta be joking... When i see the TOYOTA Camry's rear light's it allways reminds me of the 97-98 Model Sonata... The BA looks no where close to a sonata. Those ASTON MARTIN'S rear light is exactly like the BA's...
Here's the BA, the AM, and the Sonata's rear lights.

geez, one thing that picture shows is the difference in panel fit and finish between the Sonata (ok), the Falcon (very good) and the Vanquish (extremely good, it would want to be for 1/2 a mil.)
Considering the fact that the guy who styled the Sonata for Hyundai has admitted that the Jaguar S-Type was his inspiration, it's no surprise that they look similar to Jag/AM tail lights.
Considering that J Mays - global head of Ford design - helped with the 'final details' of the BA re-design, and he'd previously been the head of Audi design for the last decade or so, is it ANY surprise that detailed interior and exterior comparisons are being made between the BA Falcon and the Audi range.
Personally, I'm not complaining about this - If someone wants to compare my Falcon to a marque that in this country is perceived as a 'luxury brand' I'm not going to object one little bit.
I had a guy ask me last week if the XR was the BMW 5 series!! - he was shocked when I told him it's the new Falcon.
Aussie car buyers now prefer that 'Euro Class' look to 'Brash Americana' (I think this is a good thing!) and I always wonder why people are surprised when they see American journo's praising our Falcon and Commodore - SUV's and Pick-ups have KILLED the RWD big sedan market in America, and we are now THE centre of excellence in the world for these type of vehicles.
There are supposedly a number of Barra's running around in Dearborn, and I hope GP and HJ release a couple of XR6T/XR8/GT's to Wheels/Motor for a blast across America - I'd love to here the rave reactions of journos who think the Monaro is good once they drive the Falcon!
Cheers
Jason
