Lost stations

Just strange thing that happened with the stereo in my wife's Hyundai.

It has 3 FM bands and 2 AM. A couple of years ago, while fiddling between stations, I lost the 2 AM bands Disappeared. Gone. I try and change bands and there is nothing there. Then, a month ago, one of the AM bands came back! So I could listen to the cricket on the way home from work! Just last week the second AM band came back as well.

I only share this because of my amazement that the stations could disappear. Has anyone else heard of this occurring??

Only when you've daone the hard yards can you go forward

Re: Lost stations

You might have only changed the AM channel spacing from Northern Hemisphere to Southern by accident. I think ours is 11kH and theirs is 8kH, maybe... not sure.

Have a look in the manual how to do it. Sometimes you have to turn or hold a tuning knob and then press a button at the same time to reset the AM to our radio band spacing.

Quite often when getting the car serviced and they take off the battery terminals that resets the radio to the Northern Hemisphere bandwith where the car/radio was made, and maybe no mechanic reset it for you afterward?
