Question Lower Control Arm

I am trying to rebuild a 66 Mustang. I started taking the front suspension apart. I removed the old lower control arm and purchased a new one from National Parts Depot.

When I install the new arm, the strut bar doesn't seem to line up and I can't bolt the two together.

I looked at the old arm and the new arm and the difference between the two is in the neck. The new arm is wider. The width of the bushings is the same, but the old arm being narrower seemed to allow for adjusting in one direction.

I am wondering if anyone else has ever run into this problem? If so do they have any suggestions?

I believe the new arm is the correct replacement arm, I think there is something else funky going on.
